DPDP Compliance
Effective Date: June 27, 2024
Introduction
This page explains how AncientEducationDiary complies with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), India’s landmark legislation governing the processing of digital personal data. While this website does not collect personal data through registration or forms, it respects your rights under the DPDP Act.
Scope and Applicability
The DPDP Act applies to the processing of digital personal data within India. Although AncientEducationDiary is operated from the United Kingdom, it is accessible to users in India. Therefore, we voluntarily extend compliance with the DPDP Act to all visitors from India, ensuring your rights are respected regardless of location.
Your Rights Under the DPDP Act
Under the DPDP Act, you have the following rights:
- Right to access your digital personal data processed by us
- Right to correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Right to erasure of your data
- Right to grievance redressal if you believe your rights have been violated
- Right to nominate a person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity
Note: These rights apply only to data that can be identified as belonging to you, which, in our case, is extremely limited.
How We Comply
AncientEducationDiary does not maintain user accounts, collect personal information via forms, or store identifiable data in databases. We use only essential, non-identifying analytics tools (e.g., anonymized traffic logs) to understand general audience behavior. We do not sell, share, or process personal data for targeted advertising. We have implemented technical and organizational measures to ensure data minimization and lawful processing.
Data We Process
We may automatically collect the following types of data, which are not linked to identifiable individuals:
- IP addresses (anonymized)
- Browser type and device information
- Pages visited and time spent
- Geolocation at country level only (not city or street)
No name, email, phone number, or other identifying information is collected or stored.
Legal Basis for Processing
Our processing of non-identifying data is based on legitimate interest — specifically, to improve content delivery, enhance user experience, and ensure website functionality. No consent is required under the DPDP Act for such anonymized, non-personal data.
How to Exercise Your Rights
If you believe any data can be linked to you, or if you wish to exercise your rights under the DPDP Act, please contact us at:

Include your request clearly (e.g., “Request for Access to My Data” or “Request for Deletion”), and we will respond within the legally mandated timeframe. Please note that due to the nature of our data collection, we may not hold any identifiable data about you.
Response Timeframes
We will respond to your request within 30 days of receipt, as required by the DPDP Act. If additional time is needed, we will notify you with a reason for the delay.
No Discrimination Policy
You will not be denied access to our content, services, or features for exercising your rights under the DPDP Act. We do not penalize, discriminate against, or charge fees for requests made in good faith.
